Josie Puts Life Into Perspective

I totally get where Josie is coming from with this. If I feel bad sometimes I think of a deaf and blind man I saw on the tube once who was just laughing and being all happy. But she really goes for gold with this.

I Should Like To Own You!

I used to try and ride our friend's Boxer dog when I was little but this is something else!

BB Crush

I do like a bit of Big Brother and this year I'm really enjoying it. I've even managed to get a crush on on of the contestants. Not since Daisy Duck when I was very tiny have I had a lesbian crush but my word I have one now. Shabby, I love you!

It's True

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

I'm so excited about this film. It's the best of the books and definitely the darkest. My only issue? Why the fuck did they decide to do it in 3D? I hate 3D, it ruins films beyond belief! Grrr.

Say You Don't Want It

The new One Night Only video premiered today. The single is called Say You Don't Want It and I quite like it. The lyrics are rather repetitive and I don't like the weird guitar bit in the middle but it is catchy and I'm looking forward to hearing more. The video looks great although Emma Watson's acting isn't really doing it for me. The bit with the dogs ruins it too in my opinion.

Catch them on tour in July.

So, Rose's husband's white. Didn't see that one coming....

Hurley get's some great lines.

Robert Pattinson Related To Dracula!

Ancestry have once again pulled it out the bag with another amazing find. This time they've found out that Robert Pattinson is distantly related to Vlad the Impaler. Loves it! My two of my big loves come together beautifully; real vamps and fake vamps!

I'm a huge Lost fan....well I was a huge Lost I still am a huge Lost fan. Now that it's ended I feel at a bit of a loss. I started watching back when it was first aired over here in 2005 and I was living in Coventry at the time. Life was pretty shit up there so it was one of the few things I'd look forward to each week.

Me and Adam were hooked from the start and the last episode in season 1 left me so frustrated and horrified. The second season I remember felt pretty long and boring but it soon picked up pace again and although by the end of season 6 it felt like a very different show to me I was just as hooked at the end as I was at the start.

Now I don't have Sky so sometimes watching Lost for us was a pain in the arse but we always managed it. But the all important last episode was the ultimate stress for me. We downloaded it as soon as it aired in America but just as we settled down to watch it we realised we'd only got half of it which meant another 24 hours to wait! I insisted we get up at 5am just so that we could watch the finale before I had to go into work. I did not want anyone to let slip what happened!

The last episode wasn't the end I wanted. Now don't get me wrong, I bloody loved it. I cried a lot too. I didn't even mind that some questions were left unanswered. I just don't think it made 100% sense. As Jack watched that plane fly overhead I actually wanted it to explode because in my mind if they were all dead it would have worked better. The best thing about the whole episode was the "Flying Jack punch" (that's what it's known as in our house anyway) and it can be viewed here at about 36 seconds in:

We're now watching every episode through again. We've done season 1 and I'm loving it. I forgot how funny the first few seasons actually were, there are some amazing one-liners. Watching from the start has made me realise a few things though. Firstly, Charlie is not Irish. I spent all those years thinking my favourite character was bloody Irish! I'm a tit. Secondly, and this actually occurred to me in season 5, Jack Shepherd is unbelievably fit and I wasted a huge number of year as Team Sawyer when I should have been Team Jack all along. Again, I'm a tit.

I'm all set for a Lost tattoo. Nothing as extreme as this little beauty but the numbers on my arm. I've also told Adam I'd like a Lost birthday cake this year with Jack and Charlie on it. I don't think it's going to happen though :( Oh and check out Lostpedia for all your Lost knowledge needs.

I really like Audrey Kitching. This photo reminds me of the classic Edie Sedgwick photobooth portrait.

And here's another cute one.

Gallows Twice!

Friday and Saturday saw two fantastic Gallows gigs that couldn't have been more different if they tried. On Friday I travelled to Kingston to see them at the Fighting Cocks. Last time they played Kingston I missed it and was gutted for days so I sure as hell wasn't missing this one! The sun was blazing and as we arrived at the 100 capacity venue we knew we were in for a sweaty night, especially as 150 tickets had been sold. The band were milling around and we had to squeeze into the tiny room they'd be playing.

I've never been one for moshing and normally steer well clear of the pit (because I don't want to break my nose and normally have a fresh tattoo I don't want to get cut up) but there was no way of avoiding the pit this time as it took up half the room. Most of the guys were shirtless and going mental so the humidity, made up of pure sweat, was making it hard for everyone to breathe, including the band. But the dancing, moshing, stage diving (even without a stage) didn't stop all night and even when Frank looked like he was going to collapse he just kept on going. It was definitely my number one Gallows gig and probably in my top two or three gigs of all time.

Eva Spence joined the band to sing Black Heart Queen and she gave me a big wave when she saw me. She's such a sweetie. We actually went to see Rolo Tomassi a couple of weeks ago at Underworld and they were brilliant, of course. Everyone leaving the gig was saturated. My hands looked like I'd been in a bath, my hair was wet through and you could have wrung my clothes out. Everyone was in a great mood though and it was one of the friendliest gigs I've ever been to.

On Saturday it was the Bizarre Ball and Gallows were due to play at 1am. My god it really was bizarre. I knew it was going to be full of people in fetish gear and fancy dress but I was not expecting to see so many willies. Boobs yes but willies no. My word. Also I don't know why so many fat girls choose to wear corsets. Each to their own and all that but a corset does not give a fat person a waist, it just emphasises that fact the don't have one and then gives them back boobs to match the front ones. Anyway, I digress. I'd made the effort and bought some amazing eyelashes and spent ages getting my eyes right. I even wore heels but had to change into pumps because I have granny feet and was in pain.

We stood through some pretty ropey performances and managed to get right to the front ready for Gallows. I was pretty happy until 10 minutes before they were due on a midget took a fake shit in a potty, fed it to his mate and then threw the remaining water and toilet paper in my face. Eyelashes were removed and I was still picking toilet paper out of my hair the next morning. If I could have kicked that midget's arse I would have done. But that would have been wrong.

Gallows finally took to the stage, watched by their beautiful other halves, in balaclavas. Steph kept his on for all of 30 seconds and the rest lasted about 1 minute longer. They played a blinding set and were on top form considering the crowd was crap. The highlight was when Frank spotted me between songs, waved, said hi and asked how my tattoo was. He said he was worried about the bruising. I assured him it was fine. We left the minute the set was done (not before Lags threw a snare drum through the air and nearly hit me haha) and was home by 3am.

I'm just sad I didn't get to see them play Hyde Park with Rage Against the Machine but twice in just over 24 hours was good enough for me.

Tuesday, 8 June 2010 Buble?!

How did I not know this existed? Adam had to tell me. ADAM!

Saturday, 5 June 2010

I'm going to buy a Lady Gaga tote from H&M today. Should have got it yesterday but I bought the "granny bag" that Adam now wants me to give to his mum. It is perfect for gigs's just a bit ugly. But tonight I shall sport the Gaga Tote. I even said "but what if it gets turned upside down!" and then had to remind myself I have never staged dived in my life (due to a fear of breaking my nose of all things) so it's doubtful.
